Big move by West Bengal ruling party Trinamool Congress ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Trinamool took strict action against Kunal Ghosh. Kunal Ghosh has been removed from all posts of the party including general secretary, Trinamool Congress said in a press statement.

Earlier, Kunal resigned from the post of party spokesperson. A few days ago, Kunal Ghosh was seen standing on the same stage with BJP candidate Tapas Roy at a blood donation camp and was praised. On this day, Kunal's speech was seen praising the candidate of the opposition party more than once. Kunal Ghosh is seen making various hostile comments targeting Trinamool Congress candidate Sudeep Banerjee of the same Lok Sabha.

Since then, Kunal Ghosh's distance from the party has gradually increased. Kunal was removed from the post of general secretary of the party by stating on behalf of Trinamool. The statement was signed by Trinamool Rajya Sabha member Derek O'Brien. The statement further informed that Kunal Ghosh has recently said many things which are his own opinion, which in no way coincide with the opinion of the party. What he says is entirely his personal opinion.
