Just a few more days to wait, then the whole of India will be in the popular tournament IPL (IPL). The IPL organizing authority has already completed the auction phase of the players. But the Indian cricket board, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), along with the IPL organizing body, are under huge pressure over the 2023 IPL. This major obstacle came from the International Cricket Council (ICC) itself. The long-planned long-running tournament of the IPL has been forced by the ICC to make massive cuts.

IPL will be held again in home away format after 2 long years. The organizers of IPL wanted to organize a big event to give IPL a bigger gift to cricket lovers. One of the reasons for that is the home-away format. Needless to say, the upcoming IPL will put more pressure on the players to make the ICC cut. As a result, many have raised questions about the effect on the fitness and mentality of the players.

The reason for this cut of IPL is the World Test Championship final. The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) wanted the 2023 IPL for 74 days. The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) received the green signal for that period from the International Cricket Council (ICC). Because of course, the International Cricket Council (ICC) earns huge amounts of money from the broadcasting rights of IPL. It has already made a huge amount by selling television and digital rights for 2023-27. As a result, IPL wanted to host a longer 74-day tournament this year, To increase the amount of income. There will also be pressure on players to travel from city to city for the IPL tournament.

The final of the World Test Championship will be held from 7th July 2023. This time the possibility of the Indian cricket team playing in the final is strong. That is why it is necessary to give adequate rest to the Indian players before playing the final. ICC rules that no tournament can be played 7 days after the final of the Test Championship.
